Tileston Gymnasium

The Tileston Gymnasium was constructed in 1950 when the Tileston School served as a public middle and high school for Wilmington.  It has a full basketball/volleyball court on the main level, spectator seating in the mezzanine, and can accommodate 500 visitors.  There is a full-service concession stand, Lively's, on the second level adjacent to spectator speaking.  The ground level has locker rooms and hosts the Cape Fear Fencing Academy.

Lively's Courtside Concessions is the heart of the action at Tileston Gym, offering tasty treats and refreshments during games and events.

Named in honor of Clifton Lively, fondly remembered as "Mr. Mardi Gras," this concession stand is a tribute to his vibrant spirit and love for celebration. Known for bringing joy and enthusiasm to every gathering, Mr. Lively embodied the essence of community and fun, making this a fitting way to keep his memory alive.

Stop by Lively's to grab a snack and be part of the lively legacy that continues to bring our Falcon family together!

Lively's has booth seating for 12 and 5 barstools.   Come enjoy our vintage vibe and hang out with us!
